Naira Makes Recovery Against Dollar, Appreciates In Parallel Market, NAFEM

Yesterday, the Naira strengthened in the parallel market to N1,615 per dollar from N1,620 per dollar on Wednesday.

It also appreciated to N1,593.93 per dollar in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM).

According to FMDQ data, the NAFEM rate improved from N1,606.56 per dollar on Wednesday, marking a N12.66 gain for the Naira.

However, the volume of dollars traded in NAFEM dropped by 3.3 percent, falling to $155.52 million from $160.94 million.

This led to an increased margin between the parallel market and NAFEM rates, widening to N21.07 per dollar from N13.41 per dollar the previous day.
