Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has expressed concern over the criticism directed at Victor Osimhen following the collapse of his transfer deals.
Osimhen, 25, has faced a turbulent transfer period, with his attempts to move to Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal and English club Chelsea falling through.

Ighalo, addressing the situation on Sunday through his X account under the handle #ighalojude, revealed that Osimhen was deeply distressed after their recent conversation.
He wrote, “No human being is perfect, and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his country’s people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened.
“I spoke to him, and I could feel the pain in his voice. The way he’s been treated, this young man plays with his heart and passion for his country.
“Hmmm, it’s well. He will definitely come back stronger. We learn every day in life.”
