What Remi Tinubu Did To Maiduguri Flood Victims

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to support the victims of the recent flood in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The donation was made following her visit to commiserate with the Borno State government over the disaster, which affected over two million residents.

Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Nana Kashim Shettima, the First Lady’s delegation included the wives of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Senate President, the governors of Lagos and Yobe States, as well as wives of ministers and other presidential aides.

The delegation first visited the Shehu of Borno’s palace to express their condolences, as the flood had also impacted his residence and surrounding areas.

At the Government House, they were received by Governor Babagana Zulum, members of the Borno State National Assembly, the Speaker of the state assembly, and other members of the state executive council. Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, Nana Shettima praised Governor Zulum for his steadfast leadership and resilience in governance.

She then conveyed the First Lady’s sympathies to the people of Borno State and announced the N500 million donation for flood victims.
