NNPCL Gives Reason For Fresh Fuel Queues

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has attributed the current fuel supply tightness and distribution issues to a hitch in the discharge operations of a few vessels.

Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., made this known in a statement on Saturday in response to the fuel queues and scarcity observed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT.

Queues began forming at fuel stations in the FCT on Friday, with motorists lining up at various stations, while some stations remained shut.

“The NNPC Ltd. wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels,” Mr Soneye said.

He stated that the company is working tirelessly with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in operations.
