Yari Reveals Position On Planned Protest

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, representing Zamfara West, has urged residents of the state not to participate in the planned protest.

He argued that protests do not yield results. Upon returning home, Senator Yari was greeted by a large crowd carrying banners and placards declaring, “No protest in Zamfara State.”

Addressing the crowd on Wednesday, Senator Yari called on his supporters to reconsider their decision to join the protest, urging them instead to pray for the leaders to find solutions to Nigeria’s current challenges.

He cited Libya and Sudan as examples where protests have worsened the situation, warning that such actions could further harm the nation’s economy rather than improve it. For this reason, he urged the people of Zamfara to refrain from participating in the planned protest.

The former Zamfara State governor encouraged his supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to spread the message of “No Protest” to reach as many people as possible.

Senator Yari also noted that former President Muhammadu Buhari was unable to tackle insecurity during his eight-year tenure, and urged Nigerians not to expect the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to resolve these challenges in just over a year, emphasizing that only God can bring an end to the security issues.
