Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy has reacted to the viral video showing preisident Tinubu assuring Nigerians of better times.
The video which went viral yesterday came amidst criticisms of the president’s speech on Sunday where he addressed Nigerians amidst protests against prevailing hunger in the country.
The speech was criticised for not touching on the protesters demands.

Onanuga took to X (Twitter) to react as a clip showing the president speaking again to Nigerians went viral yesterday.
He wrote: ”A trending video of President Tinubu which came out on Wednesday is not a new video. It’s a clip from the broadcast he made last year. President Tinubu has not made any other public statement since his last broadcast on Sunday”

Some Nigerians have been protesting since August 1st against hunger/hardship that came as a result of the economic policies implemented by president Tinubu.
The protest which was slated to last for 10 days lost its steam this week.
There have been incidence of looting and destruction of properties in some states during the protests.
