BREAKING: What Kidnappers Did To Abducted Ex-Rep Member Onyemaechi

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the release of former House of Representatives member Joan Onyemaechi.

Onyemaechi was kidnapped on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her church off DBS Road in Asaba, the Delta State capital, after gunmen fatally shot her police orderly and driver.

Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe confirmed to The Punch on Saturday morning that Onyemaechi was released on Friday night.

He said, “Yes, she was released last night”

Joan Onyemaechi, a former member of the House of Representatives, former Delta State House of Assembly member, and the recent Commissioner for Technical Education in Delta State, was abducted by gunmen on July 30.

The kidnapping occurred at her church premises along DBS Road in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The attack resulted in the death of her police aide and another individual.
