Seventy-three babies have been born during the ongoing 72nd Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, according to Sunday PUNCH.

The RCCG’s annual convention, which started on Monday, August 5, 2024, is set to conclude today, Sunday.

The event has drawn thousands of worshippers, filling both the old and new arenas to capacity and even creating several overflow areas.

Reports indicate that guest houses and hostels in Redemption City and nearby areas have been fully booked by attendees.

On Saturday morning, before his sermon, Adeboye revealed that by 6 pm on Friday, there had been 73 births, including 39 boys and 34 girls. He also noted that among the newborns were two sets of twins.

Announcing the development before his sermon at the Holy Ghost Night held on Friday night until Saturday morning at the church’s headquarters, Adeboye said, “The number of children born during this convention by 6pm on Friday evening had increased to 73. We had another set of twins today. Now, we have a total of 39 boys and 34 girls.

“Once again, let the boys shout ‘Praise the Lord!’ and let the girls shout ‘Hallelujah!’ Don’t worry; the girls are trying to catch up. In fact, the set of twins are two girls. It must be a special day for girls also.”
