Gospel singer Ajayi Aduke Morounkola, widely known as Aduke Gold, has passed away.
The news was confirmed Tuesday morning by fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele, who posted, “A GENERAL HAS FALLEN. ADUKE GOLD #rip.”

The cause of Aduke Gold’s death has not yet been disclosed.
Aduke Gold began her professional music career in 2004 and gained prominence with her live performance at the first memorial of the late gospel artist, Baba Ara.
The 11th child of her late parents, Aduke Gold was raised in the Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos.
