The delegation stated that their visit to Rivers State aimed to seek peace and reinforce longstanding alliances.

During a meeting with the PDP Board of Trustees at the government house in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara expressed doubts about his membership in the party.

However, he acknowledged that the visit by the BoT provided him with some reassurance of his continued recognition as a member.

“But, so far, what is important this afternoon is that we are still members of the party, and the owners of the party have visited us.

“So, for those people outside who are carrying all sorts of rumour and propaganda, at least, this visit will put that propaganda to rest, and to tell the world that we are and we still remain members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he said.

The Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara while speaking with the governor said the party is scared of losing Rivers State to strong opposition members.

Senator Adolphus Wabara, the Chairman, told the governor that the party is concerned about the possibility of losing Rivers State to strong opposition figures.
