Officials from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) have detained Bristol Tamunobiefiri, also known as PIDOM.
The arrest occurred on August 5, 2024, in his hotel room in Rivers State.

According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Tamunobiefiri was apprehended on charges related to “serious offences that undermine the integrity of government operations.

The statement further detailed multiple allegations against the suspect, including unlawful possession, leaking classified documents, and various cyber-related offences.
“We will do due diligence in carrying out a thorough investigation into the cases.
The statement also emphasized that the force is committed to rigorously enforcing the law and ensuring a more secure nation for all Nigerians.
“According to the police, he will be arraigned in court next week.”
