Chidimma Adetshina, the model who withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant amid controversy over her nationality, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
The 23-year-old law student, who traveled back to Nigeria to participate in this competition, was named the winner at the grand finale held at Ekp Hotels & Suites, Lagos, on Saturday night.

Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbird Group, the event’s organizers, announced Adetshina’s victory.

Representing Taraba State, she emerged winner among 25 contestants.
Adetshina will receive N10 million in cash, along with other prizes, and will go on to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
