Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
According to Vanguard, Ajaero was detained this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as he was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.

The specifics of the arrest remain unclear, but it is reported that he has been transferred to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
Sources indicate that Ajaero was scheduled to attend the Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK today.
