BREAKING: Tinubu’s Policies Have Increased Hardship – APC Opens Up

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has acknowledged that the policies implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have led to increased economic hardship in the country.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, made this admission in a statement addressing criticisms from Salihu Mohammed Lukman, the party’s former national vice chairman (North West).

Lukman had criticized the APC for failing Nigerians, asserting that both former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu have not fulfilled their campaign promises.

He also called on opposition leaders to unite and work towards defeating the APC-led government in the 2027 elections.

In response, Morka stated on Tuesday that while President Tinubu’s reforms have indeed heightened economic hardship, they are part of a larger effort to address and revitalize the country’s long-struggling economy.

The statement reads in part, “The APC-led administration of President Tinubu is taking bold measures to reset our country’s long broken economy, improve national security and restore the country to wholesome and sustainable development.

“No doubt, these inevitable reforms have increased economic hardship for our people. In fact, the unwillingness of previous administrations to undertake these reforms and tackle the problems at their roots is the reason the economy has remained in the doldrums for a long time.”
