The police has reacted to a video showing some men on special police uniforms seen on video trying to force a man into their vehicle in Edo.
The incident happened just few days to governorship election in Edo.

Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja took to X to react to the video.
He wrote: The policemen here were on official duty. They are IRT operatives who are investigating the killing of our policeman at the Benin airport in July.
We have secured a warrant of arrest on him. The men eventually left him when the place became rowdy. He’s a murder suspect, and he will still be arrested.
It’s even better that he turns in to clear the allegations levelled against him bc he will still be arrested.It’s a matter of time.
So the men were on lawful duty and were justified to arrest him.
