Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has pledged to uphold the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) amid the ongoing chairmanship crisis within the party.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke emphasized his commitment to the party’s constitution, asserting that he stands by it above any personal affiliations.
He also expressed his support for the decisions made by the PDP Governors’ Forum regarding the issue.

He said: “I stand by the Constitution of our great party which spelt out the succession procedure in case of the exit of an elected chairman.
“I also stand by the resolution of the PDP Governors’ Forum of which I am an integral part.
“Our party must adhere to its Constitution at this critical time and at all times. That is the way to build a responsible political party.”
