The division within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum (PDP GF) has taken on a new dimension, reflecting tensions within the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) regarding the continued tenure of acting national chairman Iliya Damagum.

Damagum, who previously served as the PDP National Deputy Chairman (North), stepped into the role of acting National Chairman after the court suspended the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Hailing from Yobe State in the North-East, he is believed to be an ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State
Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State
Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
Governors Peter Mbah of Enugu and Dauda Lawal of Zamfara maintain a neutral stance in this ongoing conflict.
