Aftermath Of Israeli Strike In Lebanon That Killed Hezbollah’s Leader Hassan Nasrallah (PHOTOS)

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed, marking a major blow to the group amidst ongoing cross-border hostilities with Israel.

The announcement came on Saturday following Israel’s confirmation that its military killed Nasrallah in an airstrike targeting Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Nasrallah had led the group for over 30 years, making him the most significant figure to die during this recent surge of violence.

The Israeli military stated that the precision strike occurred Friday evening during a leadership meeting at Hezbollah’s headquarters in Dahiyeh, south of Beirut.

The attack also claimed the lives of several senior Hezbollah commanders, including Ali Karki, the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health confirmed that six people were killed, and 91 others were injured in the airstrikes, which destroyed six apartment buildings.

Hamas, a Gaza-based Palestinian group, condemned Nasrallah’s death, labeling it a “cowardly terrorist act.”

In the past weeks, Israel has intensified its operations in Lebanon, shifting its focus from Gaza.

The escalating conflict has resulted in more than 700 deaths, mostly Lebanese civilians, with the highest death toll recorded on Monday, the deadliest day since Lebanon’s civil war ended in 1990.
