Bayern Munich Vs Bayer Leverkusen Full Time Match Report

Bayern Munich extended their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season with a 1-1 draw against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen took the lead in the 31st minute when Robert Andrich struck a precise first-time shot into the bottom corner after a pass from Granit Xhaka.

Bayern responded just eight minutes later, with Aleksandar Pavlovic unleashing a stunning 25-yard strike into the top corner, despite goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky getting a hand to the ball.

Early in the second half, Harry Kane delivered a cross to Serge Gnabry, who had a golden chance to put Bayern ahead. However, he hit the post with his initial shot and then struck the crossbar on the rebound.

Kane was substituted in the 86th minute after taking a knock to his ankle from Amine Adli, appearing to be in discomfort as he left the pitch.

Alphonso Davies narrowly missed with a shot from the edge of the box, while Konrad Laimer fired just wide as both teams searched for a winner in the closing stages.

The draw keeps Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga with four wins from their first five matches, while Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen sit third, three points behind.
