Tottenham heaped further pressure on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag with a commanding 3-0 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Spurs got off to a flying start as Brennan Johnson tapped in after a powerful run by Micky van de Ven just three minutes into the game.
Tottenham could have extended their lead well before United were reduced to 10 men when captain Bruno Fernandes received a straight red card in the 42nd minute.

Dejan Kulusevski doubled Tottenham’s lead just two minutes into the second half, and Dominic Solanke sealed the win with a third goal, leaving Ten Hag’s side with little hope of a comeback.
Ten Hag began the season under scrutiny after surviving an internal review at the end of the last campaign.
Despite an unexpected FA Cup final win over Manchester City, which was seen as crucial in saving his job after finishing eighth in the Premier League, United’s poor start to the new season—three defeats in their first six league matches—leaves them 11th in the table, with time running out for the Dutchman.
United now face challenging away fixtures against Porto in the Europa League and Aston Villa in the Premier League next weekend. With a two-week international break on the horizon, there is speculation that it could be used as an opportunity to make a managerial change.

United’s best opportunity to equalize came from Joshua Zirkzee, but Guglielmo Vicario produced a superb save. However, any hope for a United comeback vanished when Fernandes was sent off for a reckless challenge on James Maddison.
Ten Hag replaced Zirkzee with Casemiro at halftime, but the Brazilian’s defensive lapse contributed to Tottenham’s second goal. Solanke outmuscled Casemiro, setting Johnson free on the right, whose deflected cross was flicked in by Kulusevski.
United fought hard but struggled to break through Tottenham’s defense. A final blow came when Solanke capitalized on poor defending to score the third from a corner.
As the match wound down, Spurs fans taunted Ten Hag with chants of “You’re getting sacked in the morning,” underscoring the mounting pressure on the United manager.
Despite receiving a contract extension just three months ago, Ten Hag’s future at the club now seems increasingly uncertain.
