List Of Countries With Highest U.S. Visa Rejection Rate

The U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs has published a list highlighting the countries with the highest U.S. visa rejection rates.

Nigeria recorded a 29% rejection rate, placing it among the nations facing significant challenges in securing U.S. visas. By comparison, North Korea and Micronesia both faced a 100% rejection rate.

Some countries, like Monaco and Liechtenstein, enjoy a 0% rejection rate, while Israel, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia have lower rejection rates of 3%, 4%, and 5%, respectively.

Nigeria’s position on the list is comparable to other nations such as Ukraine (34%), Russia (39%), and Pakistan (41%). For Nigerian applicants, the 29% rejection rate means that nearly one in three visa applications is denied, underscoring the difficulties many face in obtaining U.S. visas for business, tourism, or education.

Other countries with even higher rejection rates include Canada (52%) and Liberia (78%), with North Korea and Micronesia having the highest at 100%.
