BREAKING: Iran Issues Fresh Threat To Israel After Missiles Attack

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have issued a warning that they will launch “crushing attacks” against Israel if the nation retaliates for the missile strike carried out by Iran on Tuesday.

In a statement reported by the Fars news agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared, “If the Zionist regime reacts to Iranian operations, it will face crushing attacks.”

They asserted that the missile attack was conducted “in accordance with the United Nations Charter” and was a response to an earlier attack on Iran’s sovereignty, referring specifically to the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in late July.

On Tuesday, Iranian forces launched a barrage of missiles targeting Israel’s commercial center in Tel Aviv, as confirmed by state media.

This follows a warning from the United States about an imminent Iranian missile attack on Israel, cautioning that such an act would have “severe” repercussions for Tehran.

Iranian media shared footage claiming to show missiles being launched at Israel, with state television accompanying the visuals with upbeat music while praising “the brave Iranian people.”

This attack marks Iran’s second assault on Israel in six months, following a missile and drone strike in April that was executed in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on Iran’s consulate in Damascus.

Most of the projectiles from that earlier attack were intercepted by Israeli or allied defenses.

An Israeli strike on Beirut last Friday resulted in the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, whose group has received extensive support from Iran.

Nasrallah was killed alongside General Abbas Nilforoushan, a senior commander in the Quds Force, the IRGC’s foreign operations branch. Iran has vowed that Nilforoushan’s death will not go unpunished.

During the recent UN General Assembly, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused Israel of inciting conflict while Iran has shown restraint.

He suggested that Tehran refrained from retaliation for Haniyeh’s killing to avoid jeopardizing US-backed ceasefire efforts in the ongoing Gaza war, stating, “We tried to not respond. They kept telling us we were within reach of peace.”

On Sunday, Pezeshkian dismissed claims from the United States and its allies regarding a ceasefire contingent on Iran’s inaction regarding Haniyeh’s death, asserting that allowing Israel to operate without consequences would only embolden further aggression.

Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has not recognized Israel and has prioritized support for the Palestinian cause in its foreign policy. Tehran has praised Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel, which escalated the Gaza conflict, but denied direct involvement.

The outbreak of the Gaza war has heightened regional tensions, drawing in Iran-aligned groups from Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.
