What Adamawa Youths Were Seen Doing On “FearlessInOctober” Protest Day [PHOTOS]

Youths in Adamawa State on Tuesday turned the planned “FearlessInOctober” protest into a celebration of President Bola Tinubu’s achievements.

In a move reminiscent of the #EndBadGovernance protests, the youth gathered at the Unity Flyover near the police headquarters in Yola, the state capital, and rolled out drums to praise the president’s leadership.

Operating under the banner of Concerned Youths of Adamawa, large crowds of young people filled the main streets of Yola in a solidarity walk, openly supporting Tinubu’s administration as part of the celebrations for Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.

Speaking to journalists after the walk, the Convener of the group, Yakubu Girei, explained that their demonstration was a show of support for the “laudable policies and programmes” introduced by Tinubu, which he said have started yielding positive results.

“We believe in the direction the president is taking the country, and today’s walk is our own contribution to ensuring the continuation of his good work,” Girei remarked.

Meanwhile, the Adamawa State Police Command had earlier issued a warning against any attempts to disrupt the Independence Day celebrations through protests.

In a statement signed on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command assured residents that law enforcement was fully prepared to address any potential unrest.
