BREAKING: Third Nigerian Governor Declares Monday Work-Free

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has declared Monday a public holiday for teachers in the state in celebration of World Teachers’ Day.

A statement issued on Sunday night by the state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, announced that all public and private schools will remain closed in honor of teachers.

The statement also highlighted the governor’s appreciation for teachers, acknowledging their vital role in advancing human progress through quality education and the nurturing of young minds.

“The Governor directs that this holiday be enjoyed by teachers in the public and private sector as a mark of appreciation for what they do,”  Modibbo-Kawu said.
