Justice Adolphus Enebeli (retd.), Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, declared 22 Action Peoples Party candidates as winners of the October 5 local government elections.
He made the announcement in Port Harcourt on Saturday, stating that the candidates secured a majority of valid votes in two-thirds of the wards across the 22 local governments.
Enebeli, who also serves as the Chief Electoral Commissioner for the election, noted that the chairmanship result for Etche Local Government Area was withheld due to the slow collation process caused by its expansive landscape, which consists of 19 wards.
