After the burning of some local government secretariats in Rivers state on Monday, some youths in Obio/Akpor decided to keep watch over their secretariat.
The move was done to prevent against thugs who might want to attack the Obio/Akpor secretariat building and set it ablaze at night.

On Monday some LG Secretariats were set on fire by suspected thugs.
This happened amid the political rift between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike.
The rift heightened after Fubara decision to conduct local government election to elect chairmen for the 23 LGs in Rivers.
Fubara conducted the LG election and has sworn in the 23 elected council chairmen.
