The Board of Trustees (BOT) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to urgently convene a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to address the ongoing internal crisis.
Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the BOT, made the recommendation during a BOT meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.

He urged all members summoned by the party’s disciplinary committee to appear willingly, emphasizing the supremacy of the party over any individual.
Wabara highlighted that the BOT had a crucial meeting with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara in August, where they discussed the political situation in the state and its impact on the party.
The PDP has been grappling with internal divisions, particularly around the tenure of the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and the disciplining of certain members, which has created factions within the party.
