List Of States That Endorsed MC Oluomo For NURTW President

The Ogun State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has officially endorsed former Lagos State Council Chairman Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, for the position of National President of the union.

Chairman Alhaji Mustapha Ismail, also known as Yaro Ade, expressed that Akinsanya’s commitment to the union makes him a strong candidate for the top position.

With this endorsement from Ogun State, Akinsanya is now well-positioned for election as the National President.

Earlier, three other states—Lagos, Ondo, and Ekiti—had also expressed their support for Akinsanya’s candidacy.

Alhaji Ismail emphasized that it would be ungrateful for Ogun State union members not to back Akinsanya, citing his significant contributions to restoring the NURTW in the state during challenging times.

While acknowledging the qualifications of fellow candidate Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, Ismail reiterated that Akinsanya’s efforts warranted the state union’s endorsement.

He noted that the National President’s position has been zoned to the Southwest and expressed confidence that all four states with NURTW operations would rally behind Akinsanya.

Just last week, the Ekiti State Council convened an emergency meeting with state officers and Branch/Zonal Chairmen, where they also endorsed Akinsanya for the presidency.

Chief Joseph Falope, the council leader, praised Akinsanya’s leadership qualities, dedication, and commitment to public service.

He emphasized that Akinsanya’s respectful communication skills with individuals of all ages and backgrounds made him a suitable candidate.

Similarly, the Ondo State Council, led by Chairman Odudu Ademola, also endorsed Akinsanya during an emergency meeting of state officers and Branch Chairmen.

Ademola highlighted Akinsanya’s distinguished leadership qualities, asserting that he is a “worthy choice for the exalted and prestigious position.”

He expressed optimism that Akinsanya’s leadership at the national level would bring about significant improvements within the union.
