Yusuf, who died on Friday night, was laid to rest on Saturday at his residence on Babatunde Kasum Road in Ilorin, following Islamic funeral rites.
A seasoned grassroots politician, Yusuf held various key positions during his lifetime, including Commissioner for Works, Special Adviser on Political Matters, and Chairman of the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission.

In a condolence message, former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki expressed profound sadness and a deep sense of loss over Yusuf’s passing.
Saraki noted that his death was a personal loss to him, the Saraki political family, the PDP, and the entire state of Kwara.
The condolence message, signed by Saraki’s Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, described Yusuf as a close family associate who maintained a strong bond with the Saraki dynasty.
