BREAKING: Results Of Kaduna LG Election Emerge

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured all 23 chairmanship and 255 councilorship positions in the local government elections held on Saturday by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM).

Commission chairperson Hajara Mohammed announced the results, noting that eight political parties participated in the elections, with the APC achieving victories in several local governments, including Birnin-Gwari, Chikun, Igabi, Ikara, Jaba, Jema’a, Kachia, Kaduna North, and Kaduna South.

Additional local governments won by the APC include Kagarko, Kajuru, Kaura, Kuaru, Kubau, Kudan, Lere, Makarfi, Sabon Gari, Sanga, Soba, Zango-Kataf, and Zaria.

After casting his vote at the LEA Kawo polling unit O47 in Kaduna North, Governor Uba Sani expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the elections statewide.

He highlighted that the elections were generally free, fair, and peaceful, with only minor issues reported in three polling units.

The Kaduna chapter of the Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) commended the election’s overall peacefulness and transparency, despite some delays in the arrival of voting materials.
