Umoru Ozigi has officially taken on the role of Commissioner of Police in Edo State.
According to a statement from the Edo State Police Command, released by Police Public Relations Officer Joel Yamu, Ozigi, who hails from Adavi LGA in Kogi State, holds a degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.

He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, receiving training at the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano.
Over the past 30 years, he has served in various capacities, most recently as the Commissioner of Police, Force Provost Marshal, at Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The command emphasized that the new CP is aware of the security needs of the Edo State community and is seeking public cooperation to combat all forms of crime and criminal activity in the region.
