Fact Check: Did US Court Acquit Air Peace’s Allen Onyema As Report Claims?

On Tuesday morning, a report from *The Nation* stated that a U.S. court acquitted Allen Onyema, the CEO of Air Peace Limited. Onyema is currently facing obstruction of justice charges in Georgia.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia announced on Friday that they are investigating Onyema for allegedly submitting false documents to the government in an attempt to halt an investigation that had previously led to charges of bank fraud and money laundering.
