Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has approved a new minimum wage of N75,000 for civil servants in the state.
This announcement was made in a press statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, and shared with Channels Television.
The decision comes after a thorough review of the nation’s economic conditions, particularly their impact on the workforce.

The governor emphasized that this wage increase aims to enhance the financial well-being of employees, helping them manage rising living costs and creating better opportunities.
Under this new structure, workers on grade level 2 will receive the full minimum wage of N75,000, while those on grade level 3 and above will benefit from an additional N40,000 increase.
The new minimum wage will take effect on Monday, October 28th, and is expected to significantly improve the lives of civil servants in Ebonyi State.
