Ned Nwoko, the senator for Delta North Senatorial District, has expressed that he is feeling pressure from his constituents due to the state government’s failure to meet their expectations.
He made these remarks during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
Nwoko also called on the federal government to ban the importation of refined petroleum products, emphasizing the need to support local refineries.
Additionally, he reiterated his proposal for the creation of an additional state in the South East, arguing that with only five states in the region, there is a strong demand from the people for this change.

Nwoko said, “It’s very simple. Before I go to the public with this to say the state is owing hundreds of billions of naira and was able to pay less than about N200 billion out of it. It is in the public and everybody knows.
