Why I Married My Husband – Mercy Aigbe

Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has opened up about her decision to marry well-known movie marketer Kazim Adeoti, also known as Adekaz.

In an interview on *Nollywood on Radio*, Aigbe shared that having a partner within the entertainment industry played a key role in her choice.

“One of the reasons I married him is that we’re both in the same industry,” Aigbe explained. “Together, we’re building a production empire. I just felt I needed someone in the industry to collaborate with, and it’s a good thing that he understands it too. Combining our strengths, the future looks promising.

Aigbe’s 2023 cinema movie, *Ada Omo Daddy*, has highlighted the strong partnership between her and Adeoti, marking a successful debut for her in the cinema industry.

Reflecting on the project’s reception, she said, “The feedback was amazing. I was a bit nervous as it was my first cinema debut, and there was heavy competition from established names in the cinema sector. But I was confident because I knew I had a sellable product.”

Aigbe also mentioned that her goal is to be present on all platforms where she can generate income.

“I wont just be on cinemas I will be on all paltforms I can make money from”
