The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has secured an agreement with Dangote Refinery to directly lift petroleum products.
IPMAN National President, Abubakar Garima, announced the development in Abuja on Monday, following a meeting of the Association’s National Working Committee.
He stated that the partnership would ensure a steady and affordable supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) products nationwide.

After meeting with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos, Garima confirmed, “We’re pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets.”
Garima urged IPMAN members to support the partnership, emphasizing the benefits of backward integration and its positive impact on Nigeria’s foreign exchange market.

Regarding pricing, he expressed confidence that negotiations with Dangote Refinery would result in more competitive rates.
On Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Garima revealed that IPMAN is preparing for a seamless transition to CNG refill stations across the country.
The Association is currently in talks with the presidential CNG initiative to facilitate this shift.
The partnership with Dangote Refinery is expected to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and foster economic growth within Nigeria’s petroleum sector.
Dangote Refinery has pledged to supply products to over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets nationwide, eliminating middlemen and ensuring a more consistent supply of fuel.
