Okpebholo Sworn-In As Edo State Governor, Takes Over From Obaseki

Monday Okpebholo has been sworn in as the new governor of Edo State, bringing an end to Godwin Obaseki’s tenure at the helm of the South-South state.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the state capital, two months after the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured the ticket to the Dennis Osadebay House.

Okpebholo was sworn in alongside his running mate, Dennis Idahosa.

The ceremony was attended by some dignitaries including the Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, a former governor of the Edo Adams Oshiomhole among others.
