NNPC Announces Key Leadership Changes

The Board of Directors of NNPC Limited has announced several key appointments to strengthen its executive team.

In an official statement released on Wednesday night, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye shared on X that the leadership changes reflect NNPC Limited’s commitment to improving corporate governance, enhancing operational efficiency, and securing long-term success in Nigeria’s energy sector.

The statement emphasized that the leadership overhaul is essential for reinforcing governance, leadership, and operational performance within the industry.

Among the key appointments, Mr. Adedapo A. Segun has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer, after serving as Executive Vice President, Downstream. The Board highlighted his “significant contributions to the company’s downstream operations” and praised the leadership expertise he brings to his new role.

Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi has been appointed Executive Vice President (EVP), Downstream, while Mr. Udobong Ntia takes on the role of EVP, Upstream.

These appointments align with NNPC Limited’s strategy to build a unified, capable leadership team focused on operational excellence and achieving the company’s strategic objectives.

The Board also expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan for their outstanding service, recognizing their significant contributions to the company.
