Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the ongoing Ondo State gubernatorial election, is currently leading by a significant margin.
According to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Aiyedatiwa has secured a total of 301,113 votes, ahead of his closest competitor, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has accumulated 97,051 votes. This gives Aiyedatiwa a commanding lead of 204,062 votes.

However, results from just three Local Government Areas (LGAs) are yet to be declared. Final collation of results began at the INEC office in Akure, the state capital, at approximately 12:35 am.
Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja, is serving as the Returning Officer for the election.
