Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 election and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, has accused Lagos of seeking to “colonize” the northern region.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Skyline University in Kano, Kwankwaso alleged that Lagos has been actively involved in fueling the ongoing dispute over emirates in Kano State.
The former governor of Kano also expressed deep concern over the numerous challenges facing the North, including economic hardship, insecurity, poverty, hunger, and widespread disease.
He emphasized that the current situation is detrimental to the well-being of the entire country.
