The report claims that Russian air defense systems intercepted five of the missiles, while a sixth was damaged, with missile fragments falling on a military facility’s technical area, causing a fire.

However, the Ministry emphasized that there were no casualties or significant damage.
Notably, it had previously been reported that the US had only authorized Ukraine to use the long-range missiles in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces have controlled territory since capturing it in August.
The military facility in question, located in Karachev, lies more than 100 miles north of central Kursk.
This incident follows a warning from the Kremlin earlier in the day that Ukraine’s use of Western-supplied missiles could potentially lead to a nuclear response, as outlined in a new doctrine approved by President Vladimir Putin earlier this morning.
