Sanwo-Olu Sends Message To Landlords, Landowners Concerning Rent Increase

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged landlords and property owners in the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area to refrain from raising rents for houses and shops.

Sanwo-Olu made the appeal on Monday during the inauguration of the Abiola/Ajayi/Ogba and Obawole/Iju-Ishaga roads.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the 643-metre road project, which includes a bridge and slip roads, commenced on October 24, 2022.

The new infrastructure replaces a swampy area that previously had a wooden bridge, which was used for a fee.

The governor emphasized that the goal of the new development is to enhance residents’ quality of life, not to place additional financial strain on them.
