Akpabio Declares Okpebholo’s Seat Vacant, Asks INEC To Conduct Election

On Wednesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio declared the seat of Senator Monday Okpebholo, who represents Edo Central Senatorial District, vacant.

This announcement follows Senator Okpebholo’s election as Governor of Edo State, marking his departure from the 10th Senate.

Akpabio also directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to organize elections promptly to fill the vacancy, ensuring that the people of Edo Central continue to have Senate representation.
