Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has strongly rejected rumors circulating on social media suggesting that he plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a brief press statement issued in Jos by the Governor’s Office Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Gyang Bere, Mutfwang condemned the claims as the work of mischief makers and divisive forces aimed at misleading the public about his political allegiance.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor specifically denounced the fabricated content circulating online, which falsely showed his image alongside APC governors in a supposed preparation to welcome President Bola Tinubu to Edo State.
He described this as a deliberate attempt to sow confusion and undermine his loyalty to the PDP.
Governor Mutfwang reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Plateau State under the PDP, the platform through which he was elected. He emphasized that he has never considered leaving the PDP for any other party.

He also assured PDP members in Plateau State and the North-Central zone that ongoing consultations with key stakeholders are focused on addressing unresolved issues within the party in the region.
Highlighting the success of the recent PDP Governors Forum meeting hosted in Plateau State, the governor stressed that it reflected the core values of equity, justice, and fairness envisioned by the party’s founders.
Governor Mutfwang further reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Tinubu, for the advancement of Plateau State.
