Senate President Chief Godswill Akpabio directed sharp criticism at Rivers State Governor Sir Siminialayi Fubara and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during a public lecture and book launch held in Port Harcourt to mark the birthday of Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The event, titled Pragmatic Strides of a Visionary Leader and Contemporary Issues of Society, attracted a large crowd of Wike’s supporters, friends, and political associates from across the nation.
Organized by the NEW Associates, a political group named after Wike’s initials, the occasion served as a platform for political dialogue and networking.
As the Special Guest of Honour, Akpabio seized the opportunity to critique Fubara’s handling of Rivers State’s ongoing political challenges, particularly his strained relationship with the legislature.
