During the meeting, the NCS also highlighted its remarkable performance, having generated over ₦5 trillion in revenue by November 2024, a significant contribution to the government’s revenue goals.
The NCS’s revenue generation is crucial for achieving the government’s ₦35 trillion revenue target for 2025. This success is largely credited to the reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which have greatly improved the NCS’s efficiency.
Minister Edun commended the NCS for its vital role in Nigeria’s economic recovery, stating, “The NCS has excelled in curbing smuggling and promoting trade, both of which are critical for economic growth and job creation.”
The upcoming recruitment is aimed at offering young Nigerians the chance to join the NCS and support its mission of driving economic growth and development.
This initiative aligns with the government’s ambitious ₦48 trillion expenditure target for 2025.
The NCS has not yet announced a start date for the recruitment process.
