Held annually in eastern Nigeria, the carnival is a vibrant cultural celebration. This year’s theme, ‘Our Shared Prosperity,’ highlights unity and growth.
The festivities began on December 1 and will conclude on December 31, with 12 performance bands showcasing their talents throughout the event.

She accessorized with a wide-brimmed pink hat, elegant jewelry, and a shawl draped over her shoulders, adding a touch of glamour to the occasion.
Other prominent figures in attendance included Bassey Otu, Governor of Cross River State; AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, Governor of Kwara State; and Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State. Representatives from the European Union and the United Nations were also present.
