Kalu made the remarks on Saturday during an empowerment program organized by Chris Nkwonta, the lawmaker representing Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency.
The event, held in Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area, saw over 3,000 members from various political parties defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While addressing the crowd, Kalu expressed confidence that more defectors would soon join the party, as the people were pleased with the President’s creation of the SEDC.
He emphasized that the Commission would focus on addressing the region’s critical infrastructure needs.
