The executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 8 of the Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo State, have suspended their Chairman, Musa Abdulahi, over allegations of misconduct and anti-party activities.
The statement read, “We, the executive members of the All Progressives Congress Ward 8 in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, have suspended the Chairman, Musa Abdulahi.
“Abdulahi is to immediately return all party properties and official documents currently in his possession, and he also warned to cease parading himself as the APC Ward 8 chairman or as a member of the party.
“Failure to comply with these directives will result in legal action as the APC constitution clearly empowers the majority of ward executives to suspend any executive or party member found guilty of actions that violate the party’s principles and constitution.
“This decision underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline, internal democracy, accountability, transparency and integrity among its members at all party levels.”
The ward executive subsequently reaffirmed their support for Dekeri, highlighting his performance since taking office.
When contacted, the suspended chairman said, “I’m not aware of any suspension.”
