The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has addressed the AI-generated image circulating on social media, which portrayed him as an alhaji.
According to Church Times Nigeria on Saturday, Adeboye spoke about the image during the first Holy Ghost Night of the new year, held in the early hours of Saturday, January 4.
In late December, viral images surfaced online depicting the RCCG pastor as a Muslim, dressed in Islamic attire and shown in the holy land of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

In Islamic tradition, a male who completes Hajj, the holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, is referred to as an Alhaji, while the female counterpart is called an Alhaja.
Adeboye also addressed the increasing presence of mockers, predicting that many of them would not survive the year.
However, he emphasized that God does not wish for the death of sinners.
With a wry smile, he acknowledged the AI-generated image of him as an alhaji, remarking, “I’m sure many of you saw that picture showing me as an alhaji.”
